Hi! Welcome back to C.C.! Today, Chloe is going to show us how to make a pin cushion, pencils and a pencil case for our dolls! Enjoy! 😀
Hello there fellow designers! You practically are now I mean come on! You have slopers, thread, and inspiration board, a design book, buttons, what more do you need?? Hmm….. OH!!!!! I know of a few things you can’t forget! Maybe a pin cushion and a colored pencil box full of those wonderful creations? YES! Lets do it!
Ok you will need markers, toothpicks, fabric, string, hot glue, elastic, tape, card stock and beads.
Start by cutting your toothpicks into the size you would like your pencils. I chose to cut the tip and a little more off. A nice size. Cut several of these.
Then color a little bit on the tip, leave a space, and then color all the way down!
You are done!
Now take a little piece of card stock a little bit longer than the pencil on either side We are going to make a pencil box!
Mark where the pencil ends and then cut out four little corners. Don’t cut the tabs off like I did! lol you need the tabs to construct the sides!
Fold it up and tape it and now you have a pencil box!
Take your fabric and color a design on it. I chose to do stripes! Actually you could just use a print but this is what I had on hand and I liked it!
Take a piece of elastic and tie it to make a well fitting bracelet on the doll.
Place a wad of fabric in the middle of the colored one. Wrap the sides really tight around the stuffing and tie it with some string REALLY tightly! Then cut the excess off. This makes your cute little pincushion!
Put some glue on the knot of the elastic and glue the pin cushion on.
Now we need some pins! Take some little round beads and glue them on!
Now you are done!!!! See you tomorrow for the Grand Finale!!!!!!! lol
I LOVE the pin cushion! What do you think? If you have made these crafts, you can email me three pictures (or less) and a few sentences with your name and your blog name (if you have one). My email address is, firstname.lastname@example.org . I will be posting them at the end of the week on my blog. Thank you so much Chloe for doing this week in Camp Crafters, bye!
